OFF-SITE WORK EXPERIENCES

Lakeside School students are given the opportunity to be employed in supervised work experiences outside of the school. Work sites include:

  • Nordstroms at Short Hills
  • Turtle Back Zoo
  • Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter
  • Verona Library
  • Edison National Historic Site
  • Liberty Science Center
  • Newark Airport
  • Shop Rite
Students work with a job-coach to learn appropriate job related skills. Many students are able to enhance their work experiences by turning them into part time jobs after school hours and on weekends.
