Project based learning and the integration of academics with vocational training makes our program a highly motivating and enriching experience.

Academic instruction for all Lakeside School students is determined by the Individualized Education Program (IEP) that is developed for each student by the Child Study Team, Lakeside staff, the student, and parent or guardian. The academic curriculum, designed to reflect the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards, is individually planned to meet the specific learning styles of each student.

Students receive instruction in English, Science, Social Studies, Math, Physical Education/Health, Computers, and Career Education, and participate in required HSPA or APA State testing.
