ACADEMIC PROGRAM
Academic instruction for all Lakeside School students is determined by the Individualized Educational Program (IEP) that is developed for each student by sending a child study team, Lakeside staff, the student, and their parent(s). The academic curriculum, designed to reflect the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards, is individually planned and is intended to meet the specific learning styles of each Lakeside student. Students receive multi-disciplinary instruction in English, Science, Social Studies, Math, Physical Education, Health, Computers, Art, and Music. All students participate in State required testing - either HSPA or APA.
The Lakeside School skilled team of professionals includes:
- Certified Teachers of the Handicapped
- School Social Worker
- Vocational Evaluator
- School Nurse
- Speech Therapist
- Transition Coordinator
This professional team is designed to provide support and guidance to both students and their parents during their enrollment at The Lakeside School. |
